Seedance 2.0 API
Use Seedance 2.0 API to turn a prompt, a pair of frames or a motion reference into a 4–15 second video. Try a shot in the generator, then bring the same settings into your application.
Seedance 2.0 API is now available: integration guide
Get started with Seedance 2.0 API on Seevio.ai
Seedance 2.0 API supports text-to-video, image-to-video and reference-to-video. Send a prompt on its own, specify opening and closing frames, or combine image, video and audio references. Choose duration, aspect ratio, resolution and sound, then retrieve the finished video by task ID.

Explore Seedance 2.0 API capabilities
Choose what guides the generation and what format the API returns. These controls apply to individual requests across the Seedance 2.0 family.
Generate video from text with Seedance 2.0 API
A text-to-video request needs a prompt describing the subject, action and camera movement. Seedance 2.0 API generates the scene without requiring source images or footage.

Set the first and last frames with Seedance 2.0 API
In image-to-video mode, send one image to set the opening composition or two to specify both endpoints. Their order determines which frame opens and closes the clip. The prompt directs the movement between them.

Guide Seedance 2.0 API with multimodal references
In reference-to-video mode, images guide appearance and composition, video guides motion, and audio guides rhythm. Combine up to 9 images, 3 videos and 3 audio files, with 12 assets in total. Reference video and reference audio each have a separate 15-second limit across their files.

Generate sound alongside video with Seedance 2.0
Use generate_audio to choose whether the output includes generated audio. Describe the dialogue, ambience or sound effects in the prompt to guide the soundtrack alongside the action.

Control the output format with Seedance 2.0 API
Set duration from 4 to 15 seconds and choose an aspect ratio such as 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1. The standard model offers up to 4K. Seedance 2.0 Fast API and Seedance 2.0 Mini API support 480p and 720p; Mini uses fewer credits at either resolution.

Control framing and movement with Seedance 2.0 API
Watch how a subject moves relative to the camera in these three Seedance examples. Look at the hands in the first clip, the distance to the runner in the second, and the face in the third.

Follow the movement of fabric
Watch how the fabric follows the hands as the laundry is hung.

Track a runner through the city
Follow the runner and the changing distance between the subject and the camera.

Hold a close-up inside a spacecraft
Watch the close-up for small changes in the character’s expression.
Why use Seedance 2.0 API on Seevio.ai?
One integration for three versions
Keep the same authentication and result handler when you switch a shot from Mini to the standard model. Only the model ID and shot settings need to change.
A task ID for every render
Seedance 2.0 API returns a task ID for each render. Save it with the scene so your server can attach the finished clip when the callback arrives.
A credit budget for each cut
Choose the duration and resolution before submitting a shot. The model guide shows how the cost changes when a reference video is added.
Seedance 2.0 API compared with Fast and Mini
Compare the same five-second text-to-video request at 720p. Select a model name to open its parameter and pricing guide.
| Model and documentation | Output resolutions | Credits for this shot |
|---|---|---|
Seedance 2.0 APIseedance-2-0 | 480p / 720p / 1080p / 4k | 60 |
Seedance 2.0 Fast APIseedance-2-0-fast | 480p / 720p | 50 |
Seedance 2.0 Mini APIseedance-2-0-mini | 480p / 720p | 30 |
For requests with a video reference, Seevio counts both the reference duration and the output duration at a separate rate.
How to integrate Seedance 2.0 API on Seevio.ai
Test a camera direction in the generator, then send the same shot to Seedance 2.0 API from your server.
- 1
Try Seedance 2.0 online
Choose a model in the generator. Start with one subject, one action and one camera move.
- 2
Refine the inputs
Adjust the duration or framing. Add a reference image for appearance, a clip for motion or audio for rhythm.
- 3
Connect Seedance 2.0 API to your application
Create an API key, submit the settings you tested, and store the task ID. Poll for completion or supply a webhook URL.
Integrate Seedance 2.0 API
Call Seedance 2.0 API from your server with SEEVIO_API_KEY. The first request creates a five-second standard-model clip. For Fast or Mini, substitute the model ID from the comparison table.
1. Submit the shot
curl https://api.seevio.ai/v1/videos/generations \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SEEVIO_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"model": "seedance-2-0",
"input": {
"prompt": "A low camera tracks a rover climbing a ridge. Pull back as it reaches the summit.",
"duration": 5,
"aspect_ratio": "16:9",
"resolution": "720p"
}
}'2. Check the task
curl "https://api.seevio.ai/v1/tasks/$TASK_ID" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SEEVIO_API_KEY"Set TASK_ID to the taskId returned by the first request. When status is completed, the video URL is in data.results[0]. Download the file before the result URL expires.
Choose the right generation mode
Send one image for the opening frame or two for the opening and closing frames. To guide motion with a video clip, use reference-to-video mode and include its HTTPS URL.
Handle the finished task
Store the task ID with your scene. Poll for its status or configure a callback. When a task completes, download the video and attach it to the scene that requested it.
What can you build with Seedance 2.0 API?
The same generation endpoint can serve tools for merchants, editors, teachers and designers. Each starts with different material and delivers a different kind of clip.
Ecommerce product videos
Turn a merchant’s packshot and detail photo into a short product reveal for a listing. Use the two photos as the opening and closing frames.
Vertical ad testing
Use Seedance 2.0 Fast API to compare opening shots for a 9:16 campaign. Keep the product, length and framing consistent while changing the hook.
Film previsualization
Animate storyboard panels with Seedance 2.0 Mini API. Editors can cut the clips together to check pacing and screen direction before filming.
Language-learning lessons
Build short listening exercises with Seedance 2.0 API. Describe an everyday exchange and the surrounding sounds, then let the teacher review each clip before adding it to a lesson.
Music visuals
Use a reference track and an art-direction image to create a short visual for a release. The artist can review the movement and rhythm against the music.
Architectural walkthroughs
Start with an interior rendering and describe a camera path through the room. Give clients a moving view of the proposed layout alongside the original stills.

Answers on model selection, references, sound and billing.
What is Seedance 2.0 API?
Seedance 2.0 API lets an application generate a video from a prompt and optional reference material. It returns a task ID so your application can retrieve the clip when it is ready.
Which Seedance 2.0 API versions does Seevio support?
Seevio supports three versions: Standard (seedance-2-0), Fast (seedance-2-0-fast) and Mini (seedance-2-0-mini). All three use the same video generation endpoint. Set the model field to the ID of the version you want to use.
Can I try Seedance 2.0 API on Seevio.ai before writing code?
Yes. Use the generator on this page to try a prompt with your Seevio account. When you are ready to automate it, create an API key and send the same shot settings from your server.
Which Seedance 2.0 API version supports 1080p or 4K?
Choose the standard Seedance 2.0 model. Fast and Mini offer 480p and 720p for motion tests, storyboards and shorter production cycles.
