Video Reframe
Give your footage room to breathe. Video Reframe expands the scene beyond its edges so you can change formats without cropping the action. Upload a clip, choose a ratio, and shape the surroundings with an optional prompt.

What is Video Reframe?
Video Reframe is an AI outpainting tool for existing footage. It builds new scenery around the original composition, helping you keep the subject and movement in view when changing the canvas. Start with a video up to 60 seconds, select a target aspect ratio, and preview the expanded result before downloading. The added surroundings are generated content, not a recovery of unseen original footage.
Key Features of Video Reframe
Open up a tight shot, adapt its shape, and give your next edit more visual space.
Expand the scene without cutting the action
A tight frame can leave too little room around a moving subject. Upload that shot to Video Reframe and select a wider or taller format. Outpainting adds scenery beyond its boundaries, giving the action more room for your next edit.
Expand my frame
Turn one composition into another format
Move between landscape, portrait, square, and ultrawide canvases. Choose a ratio such as 16:9, 9:16, or 1:1 in Video Reframe, then generate a separate version for the placement you need. Faces and key actions remain the focus of the composition.
Choose a new ratio
Give the new surroundings a direction
Describe the environment you want around your subject: an extended skyline, more foliage, or a matching interior. Video Reframe uses this optional prompt to guide the added space. Leave it empty to let the source scene guide the expansion.
Shape the surroundings
Reuse footage across social placements
Prepare a separate version of the same take for a feed, a vertical story, or a widescreen edit. Video Reframe gives editors an expanded source to bring into their usual timeline, with room to add titles and graphics during final editing.

Video Reframe Use Cases
Keep useful footage working across campaigns, channels, and creative briefs.
Social video campaigns
Start with a finished master shot and make separate portrait, square, and landscape versions. Bring each expanded clip into your publishing edit for its intended channel.
Product ad placements
Use a close product shot for a wider advertising canvas. Add matching surroundings, then position a headline or offer in the extra space in your editor.
Travel and landscape edits
Give a tightly framed travel clip a more open composition. Expand the environment for a widescreen sequence and review how the generated scenery follows the camera.
Interviews and presentations
Adapt an existing interview take for another screen format. Create more space around the speaker, then arrange captions or presentation graphics in your editing software.
Music and performance clips
Keep a performer’s movement visible in a new canvas. Reframe a selected take to give gestures and stage surroundings room in promotional edits.
AI video post-production
Use Video Reframe after choosing a generated shot. Expand its composition for the next sequence, then review the new edges alongside your other footage.
Creator Stories with Video Reframe
One interview take now fits both our feed edit and the wider channel trailer. The extra space makes arranging the final compositions much easier.
Our product close-up needed room for a campaign headline. Extending the studio setting gave me a useful canvas to finish in the editor.
The wider landscape version is my favorite cut of that shot. It gives the scenery room around the movement and fits the sequence beautifully.
Video Reframe FAQ
Inputs, formats, prompts, and credits explained.
How does Video Reframe differ from cropping?
Cropping removes part of a frame. Video Reframe generates surroundings beyond the existing borders to change its composition. Review the added scenery and moving edges before using the result in a finished edit.
Which aspect ratios can I choose?
LTX supports 1:1, 4:5, 5:4, 9:16, and 16:9. MiniMax supports 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 21:9, and 9:21. Generate each target format separately.
Do I need to write a prompt?
No. LTX uses the source video without a prompt or seed. MiniMax supports an optional prompt to guide the surroundings and an optional seed.
How long can my source video be?
LTX supports source videos up to 60 seconds; MiniMax supports up to 300 seconds. Both accept uploads up to 200 MB. Reframing changes the canvas rather than adding time.
How many credits does it cost?
Cost is source duration rounded up to whole seconds, multiplied by the resolution rate. LTX: 720p costs 4 credits/second and 1080p costs 8. MiniMax: 480p costs 3 credits/second and 768p costs 4.
Can I use the result for different social platforms?
Yes. Select the format for your intended placement and download the completed clip. Add captions, branding, or music in your editor, then publish through your normal workflow.
